How Do I Register For The Do Not Knock List
Resident RegistrationGreen Township residents can register their address on a “Do Not Knock” list.

How Do I Set Up A Car Seat Inspection

Green Township offers car seat checks by appointment. We have certified Car Seat Technicians who attended a class through Children’s Hospital and the American Automobile Association. Ohio law requires all children up to 4 years old AND 40 pounds to be in a child restraint device.
A typical car seat check takes about 30-45 minutes. We ask that the parents bring the owner's manual, the car seat manual, and, if possible, the child. A proper inspection takes time, and our inspectors perform many of them. They also have other duties, including making emergency runs. There is no certified inspector at any of our stations at any time. For these reasons, we ask that persons desiring a car seat inspection arrange an appointment with one of our inspectors.

How Do I Report A Nuisance Property
Citizen Action LineSubmitting a service request online is the most efficient way to address your concerns and receive timely updates about the resolution process. Be sure to provide specific details regarding the type of violation and the property address; this information is crucial for a swift response. Your active participation helps ensure a better community for everyone.
How The Nuisance Process Works
Nuisance Complaint Process
Green Township is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive community for all residents. The nuisance complaint process ensures that reported concerns are addressed fairly and efficiently. Most cases are resolved within 4 to 6 weeks.
1. Initial Assessment
Once a complaint is received, a township nuisance inspector will visit the property to review the reported conditions. The inspector documents findings with photographs and notes.
2. Property Owner Notification
Following the inspection, the property owner and mortgage holder receive a formal notice describing the nuisance and outlining the steps needed for correction. This notice typically goes out the Friday before the next Board of Trustees meeting.
3. Follow-Up Inspection
After the specified deadline, the inspector returns to the property to determine if the issue has been corrected.
4. Board of Trustees Review
If the nuisance has not been resolved, the matter is presented to the Board of Trustees. The Board may declare the property a nuisance at a public meeting.
5. Legal Notification and Cleanup
Once a nuisance is officially declared, the Township Attorney issues a certified notice to the property owner. This letter explains that a contractor will be hired to perform the cleanup, and the associated costs will be assessed to the property taxes.
Green Township’s goal is to preserve community standards and protect the health, safety, and appearance of our neighborhoods. We appreciate residents’ cooperation in helping keep our township a great place to live and work.
