WHAT'S HAPPENING

Juvenile Curfew
The curfew hours are 12:30 a.m. until 5:00 a.m. for minors ages 16 or 17 and from 11:30 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. for minors less than 16 years of age.  Under the regulations minors are allowed to be out during the restricted hours if they are accompanied by a parent, in an emergency, or if they are heading directly home from work, a school sanctioned event, or an activity sponsored by the township or a civic organization.

Additionally, the curfew imposes restrictions from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 .p.m. for for students who are suspended or expelled, if they would normally be in school at that time.

Next of Kin Registration for Ohioans
Any holder of a valid Ohio driver license, commercial driver license, temporary permit or State of Ohio identification card will now have the option of providing the name and information of a contact person they wish to be notified in the event the individual is involved in a crash or emergency and is otherwise unable to communicate with the contact person. Ohioans can now provide next of kin information for up to two contacts,
online or through any BMV deputy registrar.

Parents Encouraged to Get State ID's for Kids
"Having an identification card on record can be an invaluable tool in the safe recovery of a child and the Ohio BMV encourages all parents to bring their children to one of our more than 200 locations statewide to get a State ID card," said Ohio BMV Registrar Mike Rankin. Click

Police Chief Bart West

The Green Township Police Department is charged with the responsibility of serving and protecting the more than 58,000 residents of Green Township.  Under the direction of Chief Bart W. West, 33 sworn police officers, along with thirteen officers from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, provide a wide variety of police services.
