Citizens Fire Academy
The Green Township Department of Fire & EMS offers a Citizens' Fire Academy will allow attendees to experience much of what it's like to be a firefighter. Students will attend weekly classes, each of which will cover different phases of firefighting or emergency medical services. Some of the subjects covered are fire suppression, auto extrication, communications, command, and emergency victim care. Attendees will have an opportunity to try many skills, including handling hose lines to extinguish fires of different types. Anyone over the age of 18 is allowed to participate.
