About The Police Department
The Green Township Police Department is charged with the responsibility of serving and protecting the more than 58,000 residents of Green Township. Under the direction of Chief Bart W. West, 33 sworn police officers, along with twelve officers from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, provide a wide variety of police services.
The Patrol Section protects the streets of the community 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In 2013, patrol units in Green Township responded to over 30,000 calls for service and made 2,454 arrests. The Criminal Investigative Section is responsible for investigating reports of crime; 5,240 incident and offense reports were filed last year.
In addition to patrol and investigative services, the Green Township Police Department provides a wide range of other services. Some of these services include; motorcycle patrol, bicycle patrol, Crime Prevention services, Neighborhood Watch, Citizens’ Police Academy, and a 574-LEADS crime tip line.
