IMPORTANT REMINDER - When purchasing license plates, please mention you are a resident of Green Township.  The Township receives $5 of the cost for plates for each vehicle you own.  These dollars are forwarded to us for use in repairing Township roads.  If you simply mention Cincinnati as your place of residence, these funds go to the City of Cincinnati to repair "their" streets.

 Green Township's

Curbside Recycling Incentive Program 2011

Recycling at home is easy and convenient with Rumpke Recycling.

In an effort to increase curbside recycling, Green Township is sponsoring a curbside recycling incentive program for single-family residences in the Township.   Two hundred (200) bins will be made available on a first come, first served basis

Residents interested in curbside recycling can obtain a Rumpke recycling bin from Green Township, with the Township paying for the first six months of recycling service.  Residents who sign up for the program will be required to enter into an agreement that stipulates that they will pay $2.75 per month ($16.50) for the next six months of curbside recycling.  If the resident chooses to keep the recycling bin after that first year, they will continue to pay for this service.

Rumpke Curbside Recycling provides you with a sturdy recycling container and collects your materials weekly in most locations and transports it to a Rumpke Recycling facility located near your home.  Bins can be picked up at the Green Township Department of Public Services office at 6303 Harrison Avenue, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.  Arrangements can be made to have a bin dropped off by calling 574-8832.  Questions can be directed to that number as well.

Rumpke Recycling

Curbside recycling is an important component of recycling at home and "going green," and Rumpke Recycling continues to provide innovative methods of making this service convenient and user friendly for residents. Recycling not only saves natural resources and energy, but it also demonstrates how our actions can make a difference in the environment. It is important to conserve landfill space for future generations, and Rumpke Recycling has made a commitment to divert reusable materials.

Rumpke Recycling has incorporated single stream recycling technology at its recycling centers in Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio to make it easier for people to recycle. With this innovative program, all recyclable materials can be mixed together in one container. Rumpke Recycling has invested over $5 million in single stream recycling to effectively separate recyclable materials for processing. The processed recyclables are then shipped to end users in carpet, plastic pipe, aluminum can, newsprint, cardboard box and fiberglass insulation manufacturing. The important work you do to recycle materials at home is an investment in our future.
